NORTH BY NORTHEAST FESTIVAL in Toronto, ON, has selected Ian Shaul to perform and showcase in front of music industry professionals. The festival is held June 7-10 in Toronto.

"Late Night Telephone" is being featured on NPR's All Songs Considered.

"Late Night Telephone" receives Honorable Mention in the 2006 Singer/Songwriter Awards.

Hear Ian Shaul on Karpov's new album "Soliloquy
I was recently honored by being asked into the studio to record on 2 tracks for one of my favorite bands, Karpov, self-described as "dark folk". It's an indie-americana-emo-klezmer explosion! Led by frontman and Mendocinoite Andre Karpov, the disc also features local SF artists Sprite Macon and Sam Tsirin from the Ebb and Flow.
